Ajuga reptans
( Burgundy Glow Common Bugleweed )
| Excellent, fast spreading ground cover with silvery green leaves mottled with a deep burgundy. Quickly forms a dense, lusterous mat of rosette clumps, bearing 3- to 4-inch spikes of blueish-purple flowers from spring to early summer. Able to withstand damp, shaded soil. Nice contrast with Hostas, Pachysandra and Ferns. |
