Asarum megacalyx
( Japanese Wild Ginger )
| A superb species from Japan for gardeners in colder climates. This evergreen running species will make a spectacular groundcover when planted in nice rich woodland soil. The foliage is most often solid green.
Neat, attractive, woodland ground cover for shaded areas. Hidden bell-shaped flowers are reddish-brown and located close to ground below leaves. Not picky about soil, but spreads faster in rich soil with high humus content.
